Underwater Photography Phi Phi – Capture the Magic Below
Do you enjoy taking photos on land? Then you’ll love learning how to take beautiful images underwater. Our Underwater Photography Course Phi Phi is designed to teach you how to get creative with your camera while protecting the reef and improving your dive skills.

Duration: 1 Day / 2 Dives (or 1 Dive if you’ve completed the Adventure Photo Dive)

Prerequisites: PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or qualifying certification
What You’ll Learn in the Underwater Photography Phi Phi
We begin with buoyancy training. Good buoyancy is essential to avoid damaging marine life and to hold steady when lining up your shots. Then we’ll teach you how to frame photos, approach subjects without startling them, and use natural and artificial light effectively.
You’ll learn how to avoid common problems like backscatter, how to position your flash or torch, and what angles work best. These tips will help you create clear, colorful images that stand out.
Already Completed the Adventure Photo Dive?
If you’ve already done the Digital Underwater Photography Adventure Dive, you only need one more dive to finish your specialty course. This dive also counts toward your Advanced Open Water certification.
Need a Camera?
If you don’t have your own, no problem. We offer quality rental underwater cameras for just 2,000 THB per day. You’ll still learn how to use settings, position your shots, and take photos you’ll be proud of.
Not Sure Yet?
You can try the Underwater Photography Phi Phi as an Adventure Dive first. This is a one-dive experience that gives you a taste of the full specialty. It still counts toward both this course and your Advanced Open Water certification.
What’s Next After the Underwater Photography Phi Phi Specialty Course?
Once you complete the course, you’ll be ready to explore more with your camera. Many divers combine this with the Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty or continue with fun dives around Phi Phi to build their underwater portfolio.
