Local Wreck Phi Phi – ‘Kled Gaeow Wreck’
Local wreck at Phi Phi is a really cool dive site! The Kled Gaeow wreck dive on Phi Phi Island offers an incredible underwater adventure for advanced divers. This former Navy gunship, purposefully sunk to create an artificial reef, rests at a depth of 27 meters and has transformed into a thriving marine habitat, making it one of Phi Phi’s top dive sites. .
Local Wreck Dive ~ Schedule
- Morning departure: 07.30am – 12.30pm
- Afternoon departure: 12.30pm -5.30pm
Pre-requisites:
- Advanced Open Water Certified Diver (or 30m certified)
- Recent diving experience
- Medically fit to dive *See RSTC Medical
- No flying 18 hours after the dives
- Also staying on Phi Phi Island for 1 night

Dive Site:
- Line descends to the bottom at around 27 – 28m
- The top of the wreck sits at 16 metres
- The ‘Kled Gaeow’ is an advanced site due to its depth and locatio a few kilometers from the shelter of Phi Phi Leh.
- Must be Advanced or have Adventure Deep to dive this site.

Because of the depth and occasional currents, this dive site requires you to have your “Deep Dive ” or Advanced certification with recent diving experience
It has some great penetration points too! However, this should only be done under the correct supervision. Therefore diving it as part your PADI Wreck Speciality Course is ideal.

Because we can take you down under supervision of an instructor conducting your Adventure Deep Diver for an extra 800 THB . In fact, this ensures are more safe and exciting experience as you will see more marine life because your guide has more time to find amazing creatures for you!

Furthermore, in Koh Tao the dive boats are moored up therefore your dive route will always lead you back to the boat. Whereas in Koh Phi Phi, the diving boats will come to pick you up once you have finished exploring the dive sites.
