The Story of the King Cruiser Wreck
The King Cruiser was a car and passenger ferry that sank in 1997 after striking Anemone Reef. The wreck now lies at a depth of 32 meters between Phi Phi and Phuket. Over time, this structure transformed into a thriving artificial reef. During your dive, you’ll explore the wreck’s multiple levels, surrounded by dense schools of fish, including barracuda, snapper, lionfish, and scorpionfish. The site offers both adventure and beauty—making it a favorite for experienced divers.
Shark Point & Anemone Reef
After diving the wreck, you’ll visit two of southern Thailand’s most stunning reef sites. Shark Point features towering limestone pinnacles covered in soft corals and offers the chance to spot leopard sharks resting in the sand. Next, Anemone Reef provides a colorful landscape of waving anemones, clownfish, and fascinating macro creatures. Together, these dives offer a perfect balance of wreck structure and vibrant reef life.
Do You Need to Be Advanced Certified?
If you’re not yet certified for deeper dives, don’t worry. You can join the trip by completing an Adventure Deep Dive for just 1,000 THB extra. This dive counts toward your Advanced Open Water certification and prepares you for future deep sites. We recommend booking early, as trips to the King Cruiser require planning and are not scheduled every day.
Trip Schedule & Conditions
This trip runs by request and is subject to weather and minimum diver numbers. It includes three dives, lunch on board, and guidance from experienced instructors. Due to depth and occasional current, this trip is suitable for Advanced divers or confident Open Water divers doing an Adventure Dive.
