What to Expect from the PADI Junior Open Water Course

This course follows the full PADI Open Water structure but is adapted for younger learners. Kids enjoy fun beach training, simple theory lessons, and reef dives in Phi Phi’s calm, shallow waters.

Fun, Safe, and Skill-Focused

Your child will learn how to:

• Clear their mask and breathe comfortably underwater
• Use scuba equipment safely
• Control buoyancy and swim efficiently
• Understand reef safety and marine life interaction

We use small groups, patient instruction, and a calm environment to help kids feel confident underwater.

Depth Limits and Certification Path

Upon completion, 10–11 year olds can dive to 12 meters with a certified adult. From age 12, their certification automatically allows them to dive to 18 meters and join the Advanced Open Water Course.
