Coral Propagation Course
The Coral Propagation Course is a unique opportunity for certified divers to take part in hands-on reef restoration in Thailand. Designed by Ocean Quest Global, this course teaches you how to safely handle and replant live coral using organic, eco-friendly techniques. Whether you’re passionate about marine life or looking to contribute to conservation efforts, this coral propagation training equips you with the skills to make a real impact beneath the surface.

Includes: eLearning materials, theory session, beach training dive, 2 reef dives
Prerequisites: Minimum age 12 years old, Advanced Diver certification with at least 15 logged dives and dived within the past 6 months.
Learn Coral Gardening Techniques
The Coral Propagation Course is designed for divers who want to take action in coral reef restoration. This hands-on experience introduces the fundamentals of coral biology, reef ecosystems, and Ocean Quest Global’s unique organic approach to coral gardening. You’ll gain confidence using conservation tools and techniques that help ensure coral survival and long-term reef rehabilitation success.
Hands-On Reef Training with the Coral Propagation Course
On your first day, we begin with an in-depth theory session and an introduction to the course materials. After practicing techniques during a shallow beach dive, you will join two guided reef dives at our coral nursery, where you’ll attach live coral fragments and monitor their progress. These training dives help build your conservation skills and understanding of coral ecosystem care.

Tour Details
To begin with you will complete the Coral Handbook followed by practical training in the ocean.
An Introduction to Coral teaches the benefits of coral rehabilitatio .
Learn about Coral speciesr, especially their importance in the marine environment.
Also, we introduce Equipment for Coral Propagation and how to prepare, clean and use accordingly.
Coral Broodstock collection, extrction and handling in particular, how to ensue minimal stress on the corals.
The benefits of natural substrate (‘Live Rocks’) compared to man-made substrates.
Study the Coral Propagation Techniques invented by Ocean Quest.
Finally, collect substrate and coral fragments yourself followed by planting in the nursery.
To summarize, not only will you learn new skills, you will be inspired to continue learning.
