The PADI Advanced Open Water Course, which certifies you to 30 metres, is the exciting next step after your Open Water Course.

Exploring to 30 metres, learning how to navigate and playing with the magical glow-plankton at night are some of the highlights of this course. Additionally, you can learn about Shark Conservation, Underwater cleanups or photography!
Not to mention honing your buoyancy, computer planning skills and overall buddy skills. Unlike the Open Water Course, the Advanced is more diving based rather than theory based. This is because you learned the core elements of dive theory during certification. Therefore now the emphasis is on new diving techniques and experiences.
Phi Phi Island is a great place to earn your 30 metres certification which you can take around the world on future diving adventures.
By signing up for PADI eLearning Online, you will recieve your e-Learning product which is called ‘Advanced Open Water (no video)’. Then you can work on this in your own time at home.
To begin, you’ll explore the chapter on how to ‘Think like a Diver.’ This section helps increase your self-awareness as a diver, especially when using new equipment, such as a compass, slates, or cameras during the course. For example, this module guides you to always put your safety first, teaching you how to prioritize safety above all else.
Next. you will read and complete knowledge reviews for the compulsory modules; ‘Deep’ and ‘Navigation’ before choose 3 more. Most divers choose Night dive, Buoyancy plus one more.
Classroom Learning – If you prefer to learn on site, you can add just a half day to study with us in a comfortable, sea-view classroom with hammocks and printed manuals. Not to mention, this relaxed environment offers added support to help you succeed in your diving education.
Study in your own language – Firstly, start by creating an account on PADI to begin learning right away. eLearning is available in multiple languages, and you can choose an English-speaking instructor or request training in your preferred language for a customized experience.
Theory:
Once you complete your homework, you can go to the marine park to enjoy the dives! Your 5 Advanced training dives are completed over 2 days.
Firstly, we begin with easier dives, such as ‘Buoyancy’ or ‘Fish ID,’ for example. These dives are less skill-intensive, allowing us to build your confidence before moving on to more challenging dives like Deep Diving and Navigation.
Each Advanced Open Water dive gives you a taste for something new and exciting, therefore if you love one area in particular, you can enroll in a PADI Specialty Course to learn more!
Our dive courses prioritize flexibility, detailed guidance, and small class sizes.
Typically, we maintain a student-to-instructor ratio of 2:1, with a maximum of four students per class. This setup ensures you receive personalized attention and plenty of time to build a strong connection with your instructor.
This approach allows us to focus on your individual needs and goals as a diver.
Moreover, our eco-focused PADI Instructor Team is dedicated to supporting you at each stage of your diving journey, helping you develop the skills and confidence to become a skilled and environmentally-conscious diver.
Finally, ff you are short on time don’t worry because you can complete a PADI Adventure Dive (+800 THB on top of daily diving rate), in addition to the Adventure Night Dive (2,500 THB) and also the PADI Adventure Diver Course!
NATIONAL PARK FEES are not included in trip prices.
Please bring cash to the pier on the day of diving to pay National Park Rangers directly and keep your ticket in case you wish to visit Maya Beach that same day or dive the following day.

Therefore, if you answer "YES" to any conditions on the standard diving medical questionnaire, you must obtain medical clearance before diving. Certain medical issues, like asthma or heart conditions, may restrict diving activities.
Additionally, if you’re taking any medications or have concerns about your fitness to dive, please inform us during registration.
Furthermore, we encourage you to review the Diving Medical Questionnaire carefully. Because, if you answer "YES" to any of the questions, you must print the RSTC Medical form and take it to your physician before coming to Thailand.

While we do have a clinic on the island, it is important to note that it is not guaranteed the doctor will sign off on your condition or medication.
In conclusion, if you answer "YES" to any questions on #3, #5, #10, or anything on page 2 of the questionnaire, you must be cleared for diving before participating in our courses.
