What Are the Phi Phi National Park Fees?
Phi Phi National Park fees are government charges for every visitor who dives, snorkels or enters protected areas within the Park, including Maya Beach & Bamboo Island.
Phi Phi National Park Fees apply to scuba divers at Phi Phi Leh and the Bida Islands but also many of the area’s famous sites. Because these beautiful reefs form part of Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park, one of Thailand’s most important protected areas.
In addition, National Park fees support marine conservation, ranger patrols, reef protection, visitor facilities and ongoing preservation of Phi Phi’s underwater ecosystem for future generations.
How Do You Pay the Phi Phi National Park Fees?
You pay by cash, additionally most divers pay their Phi Phi National Park fee directly to Park Rangers at the kiosk on Tonsai Pier before boarding.
Additionally, snorkellers travelling by longtail to Maya Beach, Bamboo Island or Pileh Lagoon pay the Rangers directly when they arrive at those locations.
You’ll receive an official ticket that should be kept with you while visiting the Marine National Park.
Why Do You Have to Pay Phi Phi National Park Fees?
Phi Phi National Park is the busiest one in Thailand therefore fees support the protection and management of this world-famous island, including Maya Bay and hidden lagoons & beaches in the area. Not to mention the renowned dive sites of Bida Nok and Bida Nai, which are home to vibrant coral reefs, blacktip reef sharks, turtles and countless marine species. While your entrance fee is collected here, it helps preserve National Parks across Thailand that don’t generate as much income.
How Much Are the Phi Phi National Park Fees?
Foreign visitors currently pay 400 THB to enter Phi Phi National Park. Scuba divers pay an additional 200 THB diving supplement, making the total 600 THB on the first diving day.

National Park Fees for Scuba Divers
Scuba divers pay a National Park fee plus the diving supplement.
After the third day, the payment cycle starts again.

Where Do I Pay My National Park Fees? | Phi Phi
1. National Park Phi Phi Ranger Kiosk – Tonsai Pier
Most scuba divers will purchase their ticket at Tonsai Pier before boarding the dive boat. After meeting your instructor, you’ll walk together to the dive boat via the National Park Ranger kiosk to pay.
2. Payment on Special Dive Trips
For special trips, Rangers may collect payment on the dive boat. In addition, rendezvous diving, mainland dive packages, private charters or trips operating outside our normal schedule, you may pay your National Park fees to dive centre directly, the Rangers Office near our office or to Rangers out at sea.
3. Maya Bay & Private Longtail Tours
Visitors arriving at Maya Bay via Loh Samah Bay or entering Pileh Lagoon or Bamboo Island by private longtail boat normally pay the National Park Rangers directly when entering that area.
How Long Is My National Park Ticket Valid?
Your ticket is date stamped and should be kept with you throughout your visit.
The 400 THB National Park entrance ticket allows you to visit protected areas such as Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon & Bamboo Island on the same day.
For scuba divers, the ticket also forms part of the three-day diving fee cycle. If you’re planning several dives, it’s usually most cost-effective to dive on consecutive days. Completing four dives in one day can also reduce the number of National Park fees you’ll pay.
Visiting Maya Bay After Diving
If you’ve already purchased a National Park ticket earlier that day, simply show it to the Rangers when visiting another protected area.
For example: Dive in the morning, then visit Maya Bay in the afternoon – no additional entrance fee.
Alternatively, visit Maya Bay first, then go diving later the same day – you’ll only need to pay the 200 THB scuba diving supplement at the Ranger kiosk before your dive. If you lose your ticket, you’ll normally be required to purchase a replacement.
National Park Fees for Children
Children receive reduced National Park entrance fees. Children under the National Park’s qualifying age may enter free where applicable.
~ Foreign children (3–14 years): 200 THB
~ Thai children: 20 THB
National Park Opening Hours
The protected areas of Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park are open daily from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Please note that Maya Bay is normally scheduled to close annually from 1 August to 30 September, subject to confirmation by the Department of National Parks to allow the beach and surrounding ecosystems to recover.
National Park Rangers & Visitor Protection
The Main National Park Ranger Base is located a few steps from the Blue View Divers office.
Rangers welcome reports of irresponsible behaviour, including:
1. Touching or handling marine life.
2. Damaging coral reefs.
3. Boats dropping anchors on protected reefs.
4. Unsafe or illegal activities within the Marine National Park.

Phi Phi National Park fees are not included in our regular scuba diving and snorkeling tours.
National Park fees are paid directly to the Rangers before boarding the dive boat -we do not collect these fees on their behalf.
Please bring cash, as Rangers will collect payment at the pier before departure.
Keep your National Park ticket with you throughout your visit because it is proof of payment and may be checked when visiting dive sites, Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon and other protected areas.

Is the Phi Phi National Park fee included in my dive price?
No. National Park fees are separate from our regular diving and snorkelling prices and are normally paid in cash directly to the Park Rangers.
Can I pay the Phi Phi National Park fee by card?
You should bring cash. Park Rangers normally collect the fee in Thai baht at the pier or at the protected area you are visiting.
