Choose to skip crowded Maya Beach and visit the bay instead
Maya Beach is accessed on foot via Loh Samah Bay Pier (east side Phi Phi Leh).
Pay 400 THB however consider long lines at the pier and it’s so busy at peak times and high season. No swimming is allowed at the beach.
Maya Bay is the west facing bay with no entrance fee. Enjoy views of Maya beach from your boat away from the crowds.
Swimming and snorkeling is permitted. (Access may be limited during low season).

Perfect for early risers who want to see Maya Bay when it opens 7am before the day-trippers arrive from the mainland. You can return in time for checkout and onward travel. Maya Beach opens at 7am however if you wish to skip this stop, it’s still worth catching the sunrise over Koh Lanta as you enjoy the island before it gets super busy.
Morning Private Longtail Tours
Perhaps you would like to enjoy breakfast, depart a little later in the morning and Maya Beach is not high on your itinerary. Peak Times are between 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM, especially during high season (Nov–April). It’s best to go before 8am to avoid peak congestion at top spots like Maya Bay or Pileh Lagoon.
