Recycled Merchandise 2012

Our Eco Shop started small in 2012 when we were deciding how to dispose of our old wetsuits. We had just upgraded all of our Aqualung equipment and were at a loss as to what to do with our old stuff. Paul from Octopus Wetsuits, Phuket must have read our minds because he emailed with a great solution to our problem; recycling! Then, we shipped 2 boxes of our old wetsuits off to Phuket and 2 weeks later we had our new Blue View Range to start our Eco Shop!

The mask straps and covers were popular as were the beer coolers! Additionally we had some tank booties made and we were surprised how well the neoprene looked. In fact, some even thought they were made from new neoprene! If you would like to order anything from the Blue View Range, drop us an email and we can ship it to you!

Eco Shop 2020

Our Conservation efforts have grown each year and ocean conseration is close to our hearts. Trying to make a difference in any small way we can. Because of this thinking, we expanded our Eco Shop in 2017.

TRASH HERO Bags and Bottles

Firstly, we stocked some items from Trash Hero since we are already an active in the local Trash Hero Koh Phi Phi chapter. We are a Trash Hero Bottle sponsor which meant we provide FREE water refills to anyone with a Trash Hero Bottle. In addition, we agree to sell the bottles in our dive centre! We went one step further and offer FREE water to all guests regardless of the bottle type!

You can purchase a new Trash Hero reusable bag which is made from TWO PLASTIC BOTTLES! A great example of a cycle economy and they fit on your keychain!

You can purchase a new Trash Hero reusable water bottle which means you can refill around Koh Phi Phi, Phuket, Krabi, Koh Lipe, Koh Lanta, Koh Jum, Koh Phangan, Koh Samui, Koh Tao, around Thailand and the world! Click the THIS MAP LINK to find where!

Secondly, we stocked some items from Zero Waste Thailand which all come in paper or card packaging. These included Natural Shampoo Bars, Deoderant, Bamboo Toothbrushes, Bamboo Cotton Buds and reusable straws. The Stainless Steel straw sets are a great gift for a friend and you can also enjoy a Smoothie straw included, with straw cleaner. STOP using plastic straws right away!

We have sourced a local bamboo straw maker who cuts and shapes the bamboo by hand. The straws must be cleaned and dried properly in the sun so they may not be lifetime use. But they are a natural alternative that will last quite a while!

In addition, we also stock ‘Strawklaces’ which are Bamboo Straw Necklaces for the party goers of Phi Phi. When the straw needs replacing, then you simply put a new straw in the keeper,

Invented by David Monypenny the Trash Hero Videographer, many businesses here offer them for bucket drinking. Rather than drinking from a handful of plastic straws all night, why not decorate your neck with a weird and wonderful necklace! FOLLOW his page for more information!

Tlejourn is a Thai project created to add value to marine shoe litter. Trash collected by the Trash Hero Volunteer Network of the Southern Region has been turned into new shoes for selling and wearing! Blue view divers have sponsored the collection and labour required to help ship off over 100 kg of shoes to Pattani for recycling into new shoes!

Now available for purchase or order at Blue View Divers! Check out the Flip Flop story below or follow our page; TRASH HERO PHI PHI
