By working closely with a PADI Instructor you will expand your knowledge and develop skills to a professional level. Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities as a diver therefore qualifying you to supervise divers and assist PADI instructors. Our course integrates many of our ongoing Ocean Conservation Projects so get ready to learn NEW skills and experiences outside the course outline.
The PADI Divemaster Cerfification is a prerequisite for the PADI Assistant Instructor and PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor Courses.
Every September, we run the PADI Divemaster Camp however this schedule is available all year round.
Blue View Divers specializes in small groups, personal service and thorough courses with a focus on the environment. We value our relationship with every diver therefore you will be part of our team while gaining experience in the diving industry.
Being a PADI 5* Dive Centre we aim to provide the highest level of training and safety. As a PADI Green Star Dive Centre you will be inspired to be an environmentally aware Divemaster and role model by assisting in our beach cleanups and ongoing Ocean Conservation projects.
Our Eco-Minded team will guide you through the course while introducing you to amazing local marine species. You can learn additional skills such as tanks filling, equipment servicing or photography during your course. Our swimming pool is available from 9am – 11am should you wish to practice your skill demonstrations on your mornings off.
Our PADI Instructors have years of experience and love to pass this on to the next generation of Divemasters. You will work with our team to hone your diving skills until you feel confident to independently guide certified divers.
Topics include ‘The Role of a PADI Divemaster’, ‘Supervising Diving Activities & Divemaster Conducted Programs’ and ‘Assisting with Student Divers’. ‘Diving Safety and Risk Management’, ‘Specialized Skills and Activities’, ‘The Business of Diving’, ‘Environmental Awareness’ and ‘Dive Theory’
We recommend 4 to 8 weeks to complete your PADI Divemaster Course as the roles of a PADI Divemaster can be challenging both mentally and physically. You will be part of our dive team and learn how to handle day to day logistics.
The longer you spend as a Divemaster Candidate the more prepared you will be. We want to give you a good head start for when you decide to do your PADI Instructor Course.
You will be treated as an intern throughout your course however Blue View Divers now offers the opportunity to put your training into practice with an optional post course Internship. We invite you stay for 2 weeks after you are certified to gain valuable ʻreal lifeʼ experience as a PADI Divemaster!
You can continue your education once you are finished your Divemaster Course and sign up for PADI Speciality Course with discounted prices. We believe that Oxygen Provider, Nitrox, Wreck Diver, Navigation, Night Diver and Deep Diver can be especially beneficial to new Divemasters.
Course schedules are flexible and you can start training anytime. If you have a tight schedule or would like spread the course over a longer time period please contact us for a custom schedule.
Price includes your equipment hire, scuba instruction, fruit, water and lunch on dive trips, tea and coffee in the shop.
As Divemaster Candidates you will get discount on diving equipment purchases.
It is very important that all our divers are covered by insurance for all scuba activities. Divemaster Trainees must have insurance that covers scuba diving however if you do not have Diving Insurance we can help to arrange that for you.
Your PADI subscription Fees are NOT included in the price and is to be paid yearly to remain current as a PADI Divemaster. The Divemaster Application Fee is made payable to PADI each year (AU$159).

The IDC is made up of 2 parts; the PADI Assistant Instructor and the PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor courses.
