Caroline is a bubbly instructor from Ireland who has many years of experience scuba diving in Koh Phi Phi. Part of the dive team for many years now, Caroline first scuba dived in Australia on the Great Barrier Reef. Her attentive, caring and professional manner means our divers feel relaxed while learning to dive. She is passionate about underwater photography and discovering new critters while exploring our reefs. Caroline cares strongly about the environment and Koh Phi Phi by heading up many of our eco projects.
Another long serving member of our dive team is Kris from Newcastle, England. Kris is more commonly found diving in Koh Lipe these days. After learning to dive on Ningaloo Reef, Australia, Kris continued his diving around the world until he settled in Thailand.
Pee Nok is co-owner of Blue view Divers and an important part of our dive team, helping things run smoothly. Not wanting to get her lovely hair wet from diving, Pee Nok is mostly found around the resort organizing dive packages and excursions for our guests. Having nearly 20 years experience working on Koh Phi Phi in the travel industry, Pee Nok is the lady to ask for information whilst planning your holiday in Thailand. She’s even featured in the Lonely Planet for her travel expertise.
Alexandra is from Alberta, Canada. She was a gift from our friends at Free and Easy Traveler, when she joined our team in 2010. Alex decided that one trip to Phi Phi Island just wasn’t enough and came back for more. She has inherited the best qualities from our instructor dive team over the years, making her a fantastic instructor. Having learned to dive in cold water in Canada, Alex decided to teach diving in warmer climates! These days Alex is happily married living in Perth although her input into Blue View is still felt today.
Divemaster Son is from Yala, Thailand! Son completed his Divemaster Internship with us and are happy to welcome him as part of our dive team! Son is well known on Koh Phi Phi as a snorkel guide who has been guiding trips for many years. As part of the Phi Phi Rescue Team, you can be assured that you are in good hands! He still gets excited spotting his favourite fish and sharing with certified divers the beautiful reefs of Koh Phi Phi. As a certified Aqualung Technician, Son can be found fixing and servicing our scuba diving equipment to make sure everything is in the best order for our guests.
Anne hails from South Africa and has been part of our dive team, and our office angel for 3 years. Like a wise owl, Anne loves to pass on good advice and local tips to all of our diving guests. We find Anne in the office most days but try to get her to join us for some dives every so often. With one dive left, Anne has almost completed her PADI Advanced Open Water Course and is a great role player in almost all of our First Aid Courses!
Braving the elements, and the longest trek for any tank dive team on the island, Bow makes sure everything is where it should be when necessary. Khun Bow is immediately recognised by his huge smile…or from the back by the large Blue View Divers logos he has tattooed on his back! Just when we thought we couldn’t possible have a better dive team, Bow came aboard…If you set your watch by him, you’d be twenty minutes early.
Pee Gay takes care of our scuba tanks and compressor behind the scenes. He likes to make sure that our tanks are nice and full so that our divers can enjoy long dives on our local reefs! The shop is never short of a few laughs when Pee Gay is about! With over 300 dives under his belt Pee Gay is a natural in the water and is currently studying for his Rescue Course.
The newest addition of Blue View Dive Team is Bang Yup who is from the next island over, Koh Lanta. Yup loves to dive and is one of our most recent Thai Intern Students having completed his PADI Open Water Course this year. Yup has been working in the diving industry on Koh Phi Phi for many years so is a familiar face around the island, and we are happy to have him join our team!
