Blue View Divers

Keep up to date with latest news from Blue View Divers on our Facebook group page. Photos are posted regularly on our online Facebook Gallery.

Tucked away in the Loh Dalum Bay, overlooking the Andaman Sea, is where you’ll find us! We are a small and friendly eco dive center; run with safety, the local community and the environment in mind. All of our equipment, including our compressor and tanks are serviced on an annual basis, with the aim of giving our customers as safe an experience as possible.
We strive to maintain the island’s atmosphere and run trips off our customized longtail boat allowing you to explore the beautiful island of Phi Phi Ley above and under water.

Morning Departure

Originally scheduled to open in late 2005, this was postponded until January 2006, as the founders Clare West and Apichat Lanlongsa committed a lot of their time towards the rehabilitation of the island the after effects of the recent tsunami of 2004.

Since Clares departure, Khun Apichat (Bang La) and the current owners Lisa & Cian have strived to continue the orginal ethos and using a combination of past and present ideals to further improve the customers and staffs experiences of divng around Koh Phi Phi.
With years of experience of diving on Phi Phi, we know that it is best seen and dived from a small boat with small groups. We strive to dive the islands we way they should be, small groups, flexible schedules, relaxed and professional.

We are a member of the SSS Chamber Network, and fully insured with AIG, and have all the safety equipment associated with diving and water sports. We are also a registered PADI Resort Dive Centre R-36215, and a SSI Resort Dive Centre 9337.

We offer a full range of PADI and SSI courses and guided dives on the local reefs. All diving takes place in a professional and relaxed manner. The location of the shop also enables us to dive different areas around the island. We have access to the resort pool for training which makes the introduction to diving much easier and user friendly.

Green Fins Our Founder and the Phi Phi Resuce Team Green Fins

One of Blue View Divers’ long term projects is to educate more locals about preserving and protecting the coral reef, as well diving there too. At Blue View Divers we have been running an internship program for over 2 years to allow our Thai staff to go further in the dive industry, and even become dive professionals if that's what they aim for. Outside of our own team, we strive to create opportunities to get other locals in the water as well.

We do our best to regularly clean the beaches when taking our lunch in between dives and organise an annual cleanup event involving many volunteers from local businesses, the local authorities, and there is always a few willing tourists too.
Every year we go to the local Thai school to teach the children about recycling and environmental conservation. We also conduct a cleanup on Tonsai beach with the local schoolchildren.
The long term goal of this ongoing project is to educate the future generations in the hope that if they learn to protect and respect their environment, Phi Phi Island will be kept beautiful for future generations of locals and tourists to enjoy.

Our internship program for Thai Nationals working in Blue View Divers has our three man tank team up to Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver Level certifications. From 2010 Blue View Divers will be conducting a program educating local Thai schoolchildren to dive. For every Open Water Course done in Blue View Divers, 200 THB will be saved in a fund for educating the local children and teaching them to dive!

For every 20 Open Water Courses taught in Blue View Divers, a Thai Local, focusing mostly on the children in the two local schools on Koh Phi Phi, will be given an opportunity to understand and explore the underwater world.
Donations can also be made directly to the fund via this link:

Cian & Bang La are the Managing Directors, or Kamachan of Blue View Divers, with years of management experience on the island between them. Bang La has also been a PADI Instructor for over 10 years now. Although usually found slightly out of the day to day mix, both are invariably found working on some project to gaurantee everyone has the best possible experience with Blue View Divers.
